Thank you card

Hi folks!

I will be sharing a Thank you card today. It is dedicated to my facebook friend Megha. She makes the most beautiful quilled creations. She doesn't blog. She has always given me good advice about my crafty purchases and whenever I have a doubt about a product, about what it is used for, I ask her and she helps me out by letting me know her feedback on it. She even sent me some die cuts as a grand gesture when I enquired about die cutting machines! So I thank her for being a supportive and helpful friend. And I feel grateful to have her as a presence in my life :)

I have kept the color scheme as white, yellow/mustard and black.

I was inspired by Heather P's creation to make this card. So I am CASEing her card today. I was inspired by her color combinations and the placement of the leaves as well as the use of the sequins. I have tried to make my own version of the same with the supplies I had. I wanted to keep it minimalistic.

Here are some pictures of the card I created.

Process and supplies used:

I used the Fresh Freesia stamp set by Altenew in this card. I inked up only the upper part of the flower bunch stamp with mustard seed colored distress ink and used it to stamp randomly all over the white cardstock. This created a pretty floral background and I used the flower bunch stamp in a new way! So then I used the Thank you sentiment from the same stamp set and using archival black ink stamped the sentiment.

Then I used die cuts. I used the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish B117 and Cheery Lynn Flourish #13 CAFLRS13 to get the black colored die cuts (used my big shot plus) which were pasted on the cardstock. I added a few black sequins for interest! I inked the edges of the white cardstock with mustard seed distress ink to give it a finished look. I used yellow cardstock as my card base.

Thanks for your time! Please leave some comments so I know you have visited! It is so encouraging for me to read your words. Till next time. Stay Blessed!
