Post 381: Mixed Media Card- Hello

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a Mixed Media Card today. I wanted to keep it flat with minimal embellishments so it could be mailed easily. This was part of my DT work for Peekaboo Designs, all the details are here. Essentially, I created the background with washi tapes and Lindy's sprays and then did some stamping, stenciling and added die cuts. I created splatter with ink and white gesso for added interest. The panel was matted with black and then foam mounted on the white cardbase.

List of Supplies:

PABD stamps- Feather
PABD dies- Hello, Scalloped Circle
PABD washi tapes- Love Bottled, Golden Days
PABD stencil- Fan
Distress Oxide Inkpad- Wilted Violet
Distress Inkpad- Black Soot
Lindy's Sprays- Hi Maintenance Magenta, Prima Donna Purple & Autumn Maple Crimson
Canson Watercolor Paper
White and black cardstock

Here are a few photos of the card:

Post 349: CAS Floral Card- Hello

Hi friends!

How are you? I hope you are staying warm during the winter season :)
Today, I'd like to share a Clean & Simple Floral Card. This was part of my DT work for Peekaboo Designs, all the details are here
I recently bought Prisma Color Pencils and used them here. I'm a beginner when it comes to coloring but I love doing it anyway. It was nice to get the soft delicate look I was going for.

Process & Supplies Used:

1. For this card, the scalloped rectangle frame & hello were die cut in grey using the PABD Scalloped Rectangle Die & the Hello Die. The Stitched rectangle was die cut in white using the Scalloped Rectangle die.
2. The pretty flower was stamped in grey using Watering Can Archival Ink & the Floral Fantasy Stamp. The flower was colored with Prisma Color pencils.
3. The card was assembled by adhering the scalloped rectangle frame to the card base, then foam mounting the rectangle die cut & adhering the hello die cut.
4. In the end, Nuvo Jewel drops were added as an embellishment.

Here are a couple of photos of the card:

Post 298: Friendship Card- Hello

Hi folks!

I'd like to share a Friendship Card today :) I've created the background using small stamps from multiple stamp sets.

Process:
1. Small stamps from various stamp sets were inked and stamped onto a die cut card panel using different colored inks that were available.

2. Blended distress oxides onto the card panel for an aged and softer look. Used Cracked Pistachio towards the edges and Fossilized Amber towards the center.

3. The sentiment was heat embossed onto a die cut black tag and a twine was tied to it. This was foam mounted onto the card panel.

4. The card panel was foam mounted onto the black card base and a few black enamel dots were added for embellishment.

List of Supplies:

Winnie & Walter Essentials- Lana Cutaways
Newton’s Nook Designs Stamps- Cottage Garden, Beautiful Wings
Mudra Craft Stamps- Peacock
Ranger’s Embossing Powder- Lemon Yellow
Versamark Watermark Mini Inkpad
Ranger’s Distress Oxides- Cracked Pistachio, Fossilized Amber

Post 154: Spring Themed Hello Card

Hi friends :)

Last night I was making a card and tried out new techniques and supplies for it :) It is the first time I have made something like this and I like the added interest all the details provide. I think I will do it again. This is a A2 size landscape style card. This card is spring inspired and has two sentiments. One is stamped and reads "Flowers can't solve all problems but its a great place to start." and the second is a die cut "Hello".

Synopsis of the Process:

1. Stamped the sentiment, flowers and leaves onto the card panel using a new Concord and 9th stamp (mixed and matched different ink colors). Then added details like stripes and dots to some of the flowers by doing the "stamp kissing" technique. Used the leaves from the Winnie and Walter- A tree for all seasons stamp set for the stamp kissing technique. Then added white dots with a white gel pen and white highlights and shading with a color pencil.

2. Then this card panel was die cut with nesting x stitched rectangle dies. Then I die cut the word hello from the smallest rectangle panel using a sizzix die and saved all the small negatives. Now the biggest rectangle was adhered to an A2 card base with liquid glue then the second smaller rectangle was mounted on top with foam tape and then the word hello along with the negatives were inserted back into the recess and stuck down below. So I was playing with different depths. Some areas on the card design are lifted and some are pushed down. Small pieces of foam tape were adhered to the lil flaps over hanging so they got strength.

3. In the end, few enamel dots and a butterfly sequin was added to complete the spring inspired card.

List of Supplies:

1. Concord and 9th Stamp- You're my Person
2. Winnie & Walter Stamp- A tree for all seasons
2. Gina Marie Designs X stitched nesting rectangles die set
3. Sizzix Friendship Words: Script Die Set
