Post 215: CAS card: You're Tea-riffic!

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share a Clean and Simple Card today. This is a 5 by 7 side folding card. I started out by using a stencil to do watercoloring. This was the first time I tried this out. Basically, used zig markers to paint through the stencil. After that, I added more color and used an aqua brush to do watercoloring

Then stamped the sentiment (You're Tea-riffic) , hearts and tea cup in distress oxide and did water coloring with zigs. Added 3 tiny fussy cut butterflies to the card panel. Finally, adhered the card panel which is a wonky stitched rectangle die cut of watercolor paper onto a white card base. I kept the color palette as yellow, orange and reds to keep with the happy and summery theme.

List of Supplies:

Lawn Fawn Stamp- Best Pun Ever
Designs by Ryn Stencil- Maidenhair Fern
Cutplorations Die- Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Die
White Cardstock 250 gsm
Distress Oxide Inkpad- Fired Brick
Canson Watercolor Paper

Post 214: CAS One Layer Card: Tea

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share a Clean and Simple One Layer Card today. This is a standard A2 size top folding card. I sponged 2 distress oxide inks through a stencil negative to create a yellow-orangish curve. Then stamped the sentiment in black archival ink and the images in red ink. To add a few details, colored the cup and kettle with Derwent pencils and for a little drama, added a little steam coming out of the cup :)  The color palette is in keeping with summer; yellows and reds.

List of Supplies:

Paper Sweeties Stamp- Eat Cake (Sentiment)
Paper Sweeties Stamp- Planner Series- Happy Icons
Distress Oxide Inkpads- Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade
Ranger's round blending tool and foam
Ranger's Archival Ink- Jet Black and Carnation Red
Craftyscrappers Stencil- Create-A-Scene

Post 213: CAS One Layer Card: Snarky Love

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share a Clean and Simple One Layer Card today. This is a standard A2 size top folding card. This is a snarky love card :) the first one I've made. The sentiment is quite fun I think, it reads, "I love you more than Coffee. (but please don't make me prove it)". I've kept the color palette bright, happy and summery with the yellows and oranges.

I sponged 2 distress oxide inks through a splatter design stencil and created the yellowish-orangish blobs of colors. Then stamped the sentiments in brown archival ink. I thought of stamping the snarky sentiment on the bottom right to look as a post script :)

List of Supplies:

Reverse Confetti Stamp- For the Love of Latte
Distress Oxide Inkpads- Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade
Ranger's round blending tool and foam
Ranger's Archival Ink- Potting Soil
Craftyscrappers Stencil- Color Splash
White Cardstock 250 gsm

Post 212: CAS One Layer Card: Fly

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share a Clean and Simple One Layer Card today. This is a standard A2 size top folding card. The process was simple enough. I sponged some distress ink through a butterfly stencil and created 3 flying butterflies. Then stamped the sentiment which reads, "May you always be brave enough to fly." in grey archival ink onto the card base. To emphasize the sentiment, I drew on three black stripes with a fine point sharpie. I really love that sentiment, its so encouraging and positive.

List of Supplies:

Stamplorations Stamp- Trendy Butterflies 2 (Shery Russ Designs)
Distress Inkpad- Festive Berries
Ranger's round blending tool and foam
Ranger's Archival Ink- Watering Can
Butterfly Stencil from Itsy Bitsy

Post 211- Birthday Card

Hi Friends :)

I'd like to share a birthday card today. This is roughly 5 by 7 inches in size and side folding. I have adhered the black card panel to the white card base in an offset manner in order to offer contrast to the black. I did some watercoloring with zig markers and an aqua brush. Stamped the silhouette of the tree and then painted the green foliage and scenery. To add stripes to the card, I added washi tapes.

List of Supplies:

Winnie & Walter Stamp- A tree for all seasons (tree)
Winnie & Walter Stamp-The Big, Bold and Happy (sentiment-birthday)
Winnie & Walter In A Word Cutaways- Happy
Cutplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Die
Canson watercolor paper
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers
Aqua Brush
Versafine Onyx Black Mini Inkpad
Mudra Sequins
Tombow Mono Multi Glue
White and Black Cardstock 250 gsm
Washi Tapes

Here are a couple of photographs of the card:

Post 210: CAS Card- Latte Love

Hi friends :)

Today, I spent a few hours cardmaking and it was so much fun! I didn't even get enough sleep after watching movies till very late but as soon as I woke up I felt the need to do some water coloring. It is so so much fun! I'm only a novice but I enjoy it tremendously :)

I'd like to share a Clean and Simple Card. This is a side folding 5 by 7 card. This is a summer themed project depicted by the warm yellow and orange colors I used around the coffee mug.
The procedure was simple enough. The panel is a wonky stitched rectangle die cut of watercolor paper. Stamped the images on it. Then did watercoloring and then adhered the clustered heart die cut (added 3 watercolored hearts in the negative space for added interest.) to the panel. Finally, adhered the card panel to the card base. The sentiment reads, "Sending a whole latte love your way mom"

List of Supplies:

Stamplorations Stamp- Latte Love (Shery Russ Designs)
Cutplorations Die- Clustered Hearts
Cutplorations Die- Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Die
Lawn Fawn Stamp- Best Pun Ever (sentiment-mom)

Iris White Cardstock 250 gsm

Post 209: CAS Christmas Card (white on white)

Hi Friends :)

I'd like to share a Clean and Simple Christmas Card. The color scheme is white on white with a touch of red in the gem. The procedure was simple enough, it involved die cutting and adhering the respective die cuts to the card. I was happy to use some of my snippets of white cardstock for the die cutting. I really love the white on white look, I think it looks very elegant :) The sentiment reads "Peace Love Joy"

List of Supplies:
