Post 261: Art Journal Page 4 (#Authentic)

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share an Art Journal Page I made recently. This was made for a Guest Design Post over at the Craftreat Blog showcasing their beautiful stencils, you can check out all the projects here.

So first I added some strips of washi tape in a random manner, this acted as a resist. Then I created some organic backgrounds with watercolors by spritzing with water and letting the color go where it wanted to. Then added stencil designs with distress inks. The sentiments are stamped. Distressed the edges of the page with black soot distress ink. Added a few flowers to the page. I matted it onto a black base to give a more finished look and lend strength to the page. I wanted to go for flat pages which I could bind together later on because my current journal is quite full and bulky, so this seemed like an easier way to work and create. Finished it off with some ink splatter. I really love the tribal warli art and the bold stamped sentiments on the page.

List of Supplies:
Stamplorations stamp- Bold Sentiments: Hashtag Authentic
Craftreat Stencils- Warli, Lotus Mandala & Indian Motifs
Gansai Tambi Watercolors
Local Pigment Powders
Distress Inkpad- Black Soot
Distress Oxide Inkpad- Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick
Archival Inkpad- Jet Black
Washi Tapes
Flowers, Half Pearls
Ranger's round blending tool and foams

Here are a few close-up photos of the page:

Post 251: Card (Dry Embossing with a Stencil)

Hi Friends :)

I'd like to share a card today. This is a standard A2 sized top folding card. Did dry embossing using a stencil here. You can find more info, ideas, tips and tricks on using stencils here. I've used distress oxides to color the embossed design using a blending tool and foams, then stamped the sentiment. Embellished the card with a baby pink ribbon tied into a bow.

List of Supplies:

Icraft Stencil
Distress Oxide Inkpads- Fossilized Amber and Worn Lipstick
Baby Pink Ribbon
Altenew Stamp- Fresh Freesia (sentiment)
Winnie & Walter Essentials-  Audrey Cutaways
White Cardstock 250 gsm

Post 227: CAS Birthday Card

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share a Clean and Simple Birthday Card today. This is a standard A2 sized top folding card. I seem to need tons of birthday cards so it is always a good idea to make a few extras :)
Essentially, the background is done by sponging inks through a hexagon stencil. The flower was die cut twice in black and white and adhered slightly off set for a shadowy effect. The smaller negative pieces from the die cut were also lightly colored with distress oxide inks and adhered back into the design. The bee and sentiment were stamped and in the end a few clear drops were added.

List of Supplies:

Lawn Fawn Small Dotted Rectangle Die
Ranger's Distress Oxide Inkpads- Cracked Pistachio and Worn Lipstick
Memento Dye Inkpad- Angel Pink
White Cardstock 250 gsm
Ranger's round blending tool and foams
Hexagon Stencil
Versafine Onyx Black Mini Inkpad
DCAM clear drops
Glossy Accents
Tombow Mono Multi Glue

Here are a couple of photographs of the card:
