Post 381: Mixed Media Card- Hello

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a Mixed Media Card today. I wanted to keep it flat with minimal embellishments so it could be mailed easily. This was part of my DT work for Peekaboo Designs, all the details are here. Essentially, I created the background with washi tapes and Lindy's sprays and then did some stamping, stenciling and added die cuts. I created splatter with ink and white gesso for added interest. The panel was matted with black and then foam mounted on the white cardbase.

Post 287: Simple Vintage Love Themed Card

Hi folks!

I'm sharing a Simple Vintage Love Themed Card today. This was made for a Guest Design post for stencils. All the details can be found here. For this card, I wanted to try out a different look so I used a book page from an old romantic novel. Tore its edges and pasted it onto a mat of black cardstock whose edges were torn as well. Sponged on Broken China Distress Oxide and Peacock Feathers & Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink through the CrafTreat Layered Stencil – Feathers (NBUS). Stamped the sentiment "Quill you be mine" using the NBUS stamp bought on clearance a while back Taylored Expressions Cling Stamp- Punny Love. Then this panel was distressed with Vintage Photo and Black Soot Distress Ink and crumpled a few times to get a really worn out look. Further, this panel was adhered to the card base with 3d foam tape and a wooden heart button and a black twine bow was added as an embellishment.

Post 208: CAS Masculine card - Congrats (feathers)

Hi Friends :)

I've been missing in action for the past couple of days. Took a few days to relax and watch movies. I shall continue to take it easy for the next few days as well. 

Today, I felt like making a CAS card so here I am sharing a masculine CAS card. 

It is a side folding 5 by 7 card.
The sentiments read, "Yay!", "Congrats!", "Wishing you Happiness", "Bro".

I stamped the feathers in blue and sentiments in black (hand wrote the word, bro) and then sponged some distress oxide through a feather design stencil.  

To highlight the stamped feathers, I colored them with a light grey zig markers and added few black highlights to the outline. 

Then created some black splatter.
