Hi Folks!!
So it is almost the end of September and I have created a layout for the first time today.
The color scheme and the twig of dried flowers in my project were both inspired by fall. I have showcased the recipe for "Rajma" (in Hindi) or Kidney Beans Curry which is a favorite in my family. It is very culturally significant and so I wanted to focus on the recipe. As a child I really liked it when my mother prepared rice with kidney beans curry and so the sentiments I included in the layout describe just that, those moments for me were family time, happy memories and hence, moments of delight. And I truly feel that good food which is made with love using family recipes does nourish the soul and brings people together.
I tried to give it a vintage look with many textures and materials so that there was a multi-layered effect. I have included multiple elements like buttons, diecuts, jute twine, paper flowers, wool, burlap, and dried flowers in this project.
Here are some pictures of the layout.
Supplies Used:
1. Iris, black, brown and red cardstock
2. Corrugated orange cardstock
3. Jute Twine and burlap
4. Distress Ink- Vintage photo
5. Red and white buttons
6. Dried twig of small flowers
7. Gina Marie scalloped stitched circles die
8. Handmade flowers
9. Martha Stewart Alphabets punch
10. Crumpled kraft packing paper
11. White wool
12.Usual supplies of silicone glue adhesive, scale, spray bottle, kraft mat, rag, adhesive foam tape etc
13. Die cutting done using the big shot plus
