Christmas Card 1

Hi folks!

I have not really been feeling too good lately, been emotionally and physically exhausted and so did not really do much crafting. I know that I enjoy the process of creation but I really don't like the photography bit or writing about it, for me those are tedious tasks. The fun part is when I'm bang in the middle of it, playing with supplies, mixing and matching :) that I like a lot!

I will share a few cards I made lately. The holiday season is almost upon us so I wanted to create Christmas and festive cards.

Here are a few pictures of the card:

Supplies Used:

Hero Arts Stamp Set - Happy Merry Messages Clear Stamps by Lia
Blue cardstock (tent style 6 by 6 for the cardbase)
Cream and red colored cardstock (from my box of scraps)
Tim Holtz distress tool
Peacock Feathers Timholtz-Ranger Distress Ink pad and circular blending tool and foam
Baker's Twine
Spellbinder's Shapeabilities Holiday Tree Die set
Poppystamps- Fluffy Bow Die
Sizzix Big Shot Plus Used for die cutting
Sequins
Vellum (from my box of scraps)
Gina Marie Stitched Rectangles Die
The Evergreen Stack by DCWV (green foiled paper from my scraps- used to diecut the xmas tree)
Silicone glue, fevicol and Glossy Accents

Thanks for your time!

I am linking this card to the following challenges:

Mojo Monday #473 contest - This is my take on the Mojo #473 sketch
November Diva Inspirations Challenge - I was inspired by the blues and greens and also the christmas trees

Hero Arts Holiday Card Making Challenge - I have used the Hero Arts Stamp Set - Happy Merry Messages Clear Stamps by Lia to create the background and also for the sentiment

Simon Says: Shine Bright Like A Diamond- Sparkle is added through the sequins and the DCWV paper used in the christmas tree die cut also shines

  1. What a beautiful and elegant Christmas card! I'm so sorry you haven't been well, I can so relate. I too hate the photographing and writing the posts. It's much more fun doing the created part! lol I hope you feel better soon!! Hugs, Brenda

  4. Lovely card, Preeti. Looking at your list of supplies I can see that you've used quite a few scraps in the making of it too. I can understand how much you dislike photographing and writing posts. You have to set the card up just right for photography and writing up a post can take up the longest time. I see these two as like the full stop on the end of a sentence - without them I would not be finished! Sorry you haven't been well - I hope this wee proves to be better. Elizabeth xx

PS: Many thanks for your earlier visit and comment - it is much appreciated.

  6. Lovely card Preeti! Lots of snippets used which is just perfect. I hear what you say about the photos and writing up about cards, it's all part of being a blogger I guess. But the creation part certainly is the best bit.

    Hugs
