CAS card: Happy Birthday

Hi folks!!

This is the third cas card I made today using some never-before-used-supplies. I'm new to coloring and shading and I think I love it !! it is such a fun activity :) out of all three cards, the coloring came out the best in this one. I also like the ombre look of the die cut sentiment :) I have to say this little image of the critter with the balloons is adorable and I felt like making lots of stuff using this. The funny thing is that I forgot to stamp on water color paper and used regular thick cardstock for all three cards (I stamped first and did the coloring later) but the coloring went on fine without tearing the paper which was a relief! (The balloons have a shimmer to them because I applied clear wink of stella at the end but sadly the pictures don't pick up the shine )

Here are a few images of the finished card:

Supplies Used:

1. Iris cardstock 250 gsm
2. Riley Rubber Stamps- balloons
3. Sizzix tim holtz celebration script words die
4. Tim Holtz distress mini inkpads - broken china and chipped sapphire

6. Camlin brush pens (pack of 4)

  5. That moose really is cute and I love the ombre blue shading. For info, I find the best cardstock for Zigs is the Strathmore Bristol smooth card. They blend like a dream with water :)

  12. Another adorable Riley card, Preety! Gosh, I'm going to have to get him and add him to Mt. NBUS! He steals the show so it's easy to use him for a CAS card! Thanks for playing for the third time in #10!! Hugs, Darnell
