I'd like to share a shabby chic card I created today :) it was fun to make because I used some never before used supplies.
Synopsis of the Process:
This is a side folding 5 by 7 inches card and I used the main panel from the DCWV Hippie Chic Mat Stack, this was distressed on the edges to give a weathered torn look. The butterflies were stamped from a Kaisercraft stamp set with archival jet black ink and then colored with zig clean color brush markers, Lindy's Sprays and an aqua brush. The flowers were colored and highlighted to match the project using Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays and also distress inks. The Hugs sentiment was die cut from the Winnie & Walter cutaways and then some ink blending was done on it using the ranger's round blending tool and foam and worn lipstick distress ink. The cute critters were from a Docrafts Boofles Decoupage sheet, the edges were again distressed. The "with love" sentiment was stamped with ranger's archival jet black ink from the W & W Penguin stamplet (the rest of the sentiment was cut off) and pasted on 2 mini tags made from the DCWV Latte Cardstock stack and a small ribbon was tied. Glossy Accents was added to the "with love" to add shine and dimension. The mdf design embellishment was colored with Lindy's stamp gang sprays and so was the lace. The "love" on the top was fussy cut from one of papers in the DCWV the hippe chic stack and then glossy accents was added to it for added dimension. At the top there is a strip of embossed paper with heart designs on it which was colored with Lindy's Sprays and and a poppy stamps fluffy bow die cut was propped up on it. Double sided Foam tape was used under the Hugs to give it dimension. In the end, all the elements were arranged in layers, gauze was pasted at the bottom to give added texture.
