Pink & Purple Birthday card

Hi Friends

I'd like to share a card with you today. I'm also excited to share that I am having a small crafty giveaway which is open to anyone worldwide (international folks are most welcome). All the details can be found here -- I'd be super thrilled and honored if you play along :) the prize is a 25 USD gift certificate to any store you like.

Now onto the card, this is a top folding landscape style A2 size card. The pictures don't capture it well but the stamped and embossed sentiments and especially the stars are very glittery and shiny.

Synopsis of the Process:-

To start I took a white stitched rectangle die cut panel and stamped different birthday related sentiments on it randomly to create my background. This was a great technique shared by Jennifer McGuire on her youtube channel. Do check it out, its super fun to try :) I stamped the sentiments individually one by one using an acrylic block. These sentiments were mixed and matched from different winnie & walter stamp sets, these were heat embossed in purple to match the card base. Then I stamped stars from the winnie & walter- wishing you set in some of the blank spaces and heat embossed them with glittery silver powder. Then I used the w & w do you see what I see stencil and did some light ink blending using picked raspberry distress ink. This added the pink to the card. Then I stamped the critters from the mama & me stamp set by taylored expressions in ranger's archival jet black ink and water colored it with zig markers and an aqua brush. Then the critters were fussy cut and popped up with foam tape on the card panel. I wanted a little tag to go under the critters but for it not to be too distracting, so I die cut a mini tag from vellum and stamped it with a sentiment from the w & w penguin stamplet set (taped off the unnecessary words) and added a small bow to it and adhered it to the panel using glossy accents. Then I adhered the panel to the purple card base using liquid glue and to finish off I added few sequins.
