Post 135: Cheers Tag

Hi!

Today I'd like to share a sweet little tag I made. Wanted it to be soft and subtle with the pretty colors of spring. I think this would be great to accompany a baby themed gift.

Synopsis of the process:

Started off by doing water coloring on water color paper using zig markers and an aqua brush. Wanted very light and soft colors to create a background. Then die cut the water color paper with a circle stitched scalloped die, some baby pink cardstock with a circle die and then die cut the word cheers from the water colored piece. Did some inlay work by sticking the die cut negatives back onto the tag. Also die cut the word cheers from baby pink cardstock and stuck it. Adhered the water colored cheers die cut on top of the baby pink to give the word cheers slight dimension. After that, die cut the butterfly twice and colored it with zigs. Then created a 3d butterfly out of the 2 die cuts and pasted it on the tag. Then adhered pearls on the pink base of the tag. Finally, added 2 ribbons in soft matching colors and tied a bow.
