Hi friends :)
Last night I was making a card and tried out new techniques and supplies for it :) It is the first time I have made something like this and I like the added interest all the details provide. I think I will do it again. This is a A2 size landscape style card. This card is spring inspired and has two sentiments. One is stamped and reads "Flowers can't solve all problems but its a great place to start." and the second is a die cut "Hello".
Synopsis of the Process:
1. Stamped the sentiment, flowers and leaves onto the card panel using a new Concord and 9th stamp (mixed and matched different ink colors). Then added details like stripes and dots to some of the flowers by doing the "stamp kissing" technique. Used the leaves from the Winnie and Walter- A tree for all seasons stamp set for the stamp kissing technique. Then added white dots with a white gel pen and white highlights and shading with a color pencil.
2. Then this card panel was die cut with nesting x stitched rectangle dies. Then I die cut the word hello from the smallest rectangle panel using a sizzix die and saved all the small negatives. Now the biggest rectangle was adhered to an A2 card base with liquid glue then the second smaller rectangle was mounted on top with foam tape and then the word hello along with the negatives were inserted back into the recess and stuck down below. So I was playing with different depths. Some areas on the card design are lifted and some are pushed down. Small pieces of foam tape were adhered to the lil flaps over hanging so they got strength.
3. In the end, few enamel dots and a butterfly sequin was added to complete the spring inspired card.
