Post 320: Sparkly Birthday Card

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a Sparkly Birthday Card I made inspired by the Craftyscrappers Challenge. For the sparkle I have added gold foil and gold glitter paper.

I used foil for the first time. Basically used the Craftyscrappers Color Splash Stencil and added tacky glue through it and then the gold foil. It didn't transfer completely but I really like the splashy gold effect it gave :) then stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Craftyscrappers Doodly Blooms stamp all over the panel as well as a few pink hearts from the Beary Special Day stamp. I really like that cute baby image. My niece helped me by coloring it in using Zigs :) it was so much fun crafting with her. Then added the arrow stencil design on the pink heart and layered up everything. In the end, we added 3 tiny half pearls to the baby's crown.

Supplies Used:

Craftyscrapper Fun Foils- Glitzy Gold
Craftyscrappers Stamps- Baby Prince & Princess, Doodly Blooms & Beary Special Day
Craftyscrappers Stencils- The Arrow & Color Splash
Gina Marie Stitched Rectangles Die
Sizzix heart die
White and Baby Pink Cardstock
3d Foam Tape
Gold Glitter Paper
Tacky Glue
Archival Inkpad - Jet Black
Distress Oxide Inkpad- Worn Lipstick
Snippet of watercolor paper (stamped the baby on it) and pink cardstock (die cut the heart)
Ranger blending tool and foams
Half Pearls

Here are a few photos of the card:

Post 319: Autumn Inspired Card (Ink Smooshing)

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a Simple Card today. I was inspired by the colors of Autumn. The card is 5 by 7 inches in size. I used a Prima stamp and Lindy's sprays that were new in my stash. The process was simple enough, stamped the beautiful image onto watercolor paper and distressed the edges of the panel with a deckling tool. Did ink smooshing onto the panel using Lindysgang sprays. Added a little bit of stencil work with a Harlequinn design stencil and then, the die cut sentiment "Blessings"was adhered. (shadow effect was created on the sentiment to make it more visible). In the end, the panel was foam mounted on the black card base.

Supplies Used:
Lindy's Sprays- Ponderosa Pines Olive, Drop Dead Gorgeous Green, Red Hot Poker Orange & Screamin Banshee Black
Prima Princess Stamp- Stella
Canson Montval Watercolor Paper
Cutplorations Word Die-  Blessings
Snippets of white and black cardstock
Harlequinn Stencil
Ranger's Blending tool and foams
Ranger's Archival Inkpad- Jet Black

Here is a photo of the card:

I am playing along with the following challenges:

Lindy's October Challenge (included green, orange and black from the moodboard)

Post 318: CAS Friendship Card (Smile)

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a Clean & Simple Friendship Card today :)
The process was simple enough, I did a little ink blending with yellow and green inks to create a soft background for the die cut word "smile". To get the pink hue on the die cut, I blended Picked Raspberry Distress Ink onto white cardstock. Used Jennifer Mcguire's brilliant tip to line up the letters, by using the negative of the die cut.

Supplies used:

MFT Dienamics - Words for Friends
MFT stamp- Because you
Distress Oxide Inkpads- Cracked Pistachio and Fossilized Amber
Distress Inkpad- Picked Raspberry
Archival Inkpad- Aquamarine
Nuvo Jewel Drops - Sea Breeze

Here are a couple of photos of the card:

I am playing along with the following challenges:

CASology 272- Cherish (cherishing friendship)

Addicted to stamps & more #265  (was inspired by the pink and "smile" in the photo)

Post 317: Artist Trading Card (Travel)

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share a simple ATC/Artist Trading Card I made recently. This was part of a set. I made these for a Guest Design post for Madras Bazaar. All the details can be found here.

Artist Trading Cards or ATCs are miniature pieces of art. These are 2.5 by 3.5 inches in size and they are swapped between artists & crafters. These can be created in a set around a certain theme. For example, in the set of ATCs I have made, there are 3 in it and they are all made using the same colors and style. I wanted these to be simple, flat & easy to re-create.

Supplies used:
Happy Little Stampers Stamp- Especially For You
Tim Holtz Dot Fade Stencil
Zig Clean Color Real brush Markers
White acrylic paint
Tim Holtz Chit-Chat Stickers
Madras Bazaar Pearl Ink Sprays- Vibrant Green, Charcoal Black and Shock Blue
Ranger's Archival Inkpad- Jet Black

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share a Mixed Media Card today. This was made for my Guest Design Post at Madras Bazaar. All the details can be checked out here. The sentiment reads "Wish you a Fine Day" I was inspired by a few challenges to make this card. I've used dried twigs and leaves as natural elements here as well as alphabet gem stickers "fine day" for part of the sentiment. For sparkle I've added glitter and sequins.

3. Stamped the background with Black Archival ink using Craftyscrappers Butterfly Kisses Stamp

4. Applied Prima's heavy white gesso on the elements and once it was dry, added color using the Madras Bazaar Pearl Ink Sprays- Charcoal Black & Shock Blue

5. Added flowers to the composition including the Craftyscrappers Fabric Rose big- Sky Blue, dry brushed some white gesso on them and then for sparkle using soft gloss gel added some Madras Bazaar Fine Glitter- Diamond Crystal
