Post 313: Mixed Media Card (Fine Day)

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share a Mixed Media Card today. This was made for my Guest Design Post at Madras Bazaar. All the details can be checked out here. The sentiment reads "Wish you a Fine Day" I was inspired by a few challenges to make this card. I've used dried twigs and leaves as natural elements here as well as alphabet gem stickers "fine day" for part of the sentiment. For sparkle I've added glitter and sequins.

Supplies & Process:

1. For this card which measures 4 by 7 inches, I used snippets of cardstock, gauze, jute twine, dried twigs & leaves. Adhered all the elements to the card using Prima's matte gel

2. Added Prima's modeling paste through a Craftyscrappers Stencil- The Arrow for added texture

3. Stamped the background with Black Archival ink using Craftyscrappers Butterfly Kisses Stamp

4. Applied Prima's heavy white gesso on the elements and once it was dry, added color using the Madras Bazaar Pearl Ink Sprays- Charcoal Black & Shock Blue

5. Added flowers to the composition including the Craftyscrappers Fabric Rose big- Sky Blue, dry brushed some white gesso on them and then for sparkle using soft gloss gel added some Madras Bazaar Fine Glitter- Diamond Crystal

6. In the end, added the sentiment with Tim Holtz stickers & Gem Stickers and more sparkle with Madras Bazaar Sequins- Ocean Breeze

Here are some photos of the card:

I am playing along with the following challenges:

Stage 3: The Breath of Nature- Joint Project "Creative Art" (used dried twigs and leaves + alphabet gem stickers)

Craftyscrappers Challenge #16- Sparkle it Up (used glitter and sequins for sparkle & craftyscrappers fabric flower, stencil and stamp here)
