Post 325: CAS Sympathy Card

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a Clean and Simple Sympathy Card. This is a standard A2 sized top folding card. For this I did ink blending on the card base and also on a wonky stitched rectangle die cut (cutplorations die- crazy double running stitch rectangle die set) using 3 shades of Distress Oxides (Spiced Marmalade, Cracked Pistachio and Vintage photo), the shades were inspired by autumn. Then I tore the die cut to give a textured and interesting look and stamped the floral image and sentiment using Memento Tuxedo black ink and Newton's Nook Designs Cottage Garden Stamp. Further, I adhered a black die cut from the Dienamites Summer branch die onto the card base and then foam mounted the torn die cut. In the end, I added a thin strip of washi tape at the bottom as an accent.

Here is a photo of the card:

I am playing along with the following challenges:

TIME OUT challenge #95 (gone with the twist of distressing using inks and tearing paper)
Thanks for your time :)
Love reading your sweet comments.
Stay Blessed.

  4. I so love the ink colors that you used for your wonderful card. Love the wonky stitched edges of the top panel and the tearing on the right side is a wonderful effect. The washi at the bottom pulls it all together beautifully. Thanks so much for linking up and playing with us at Time Out!
