Post 379: Simple Seasons Greetings Card 2

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a Season's Greetings Card I made a few days back. This was part of my Guest Design Post for Hndmd, all the details are here. For this card, CrafTangles Ruby Red Cardstock was used to die cut the main card panel. The sentiment is from the CrafTangles Seasons Greeting Stamp. I used a glittery foam dove as the focal element and the wreath is a die cut, I used the vibrant CrafTangles Sap Green Cardstock to die cut the wreath & then embellished it with silver sequins.

Here are a couple of photos of the card:

For this card, the soft green background was created by sponging on the christmassy images from the CrafTangles Christmas Background Stencil using Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide. The sentiment was stamped from the CrafTangles Seasons Greeting Stamp. I used a cute little penguin sticker as the focal element of this card. The bright green pop in the card is from CrafTangles Sap Green Cardstock.

Post 374: Mixed Media ATCs (for the holidays)

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share a set of 4 mixed media ATCs or Artist Trading Cards I made recently for the holidays. They were a lot of fun to make :) these were part of my guest design work for Hndmd. All the details are here. The organic looking backgrounds for these ATCs were created using Lindy's Cuckoo clock cardinal magical shaker, drop dead gorgeous green shimmer spray and blingy blonde shimmer spray. The sentiments were stamped using CrafTangles Seasons Greeting Stamp & the focal elements were sponged on using distress oxides through the CrafTangles Christmas Elements Stencil. The gifts in one of the atcs were stamped using the CrafTangles Bearing Gifts Stamp. Snow was added using white gesso and the CrafTangles Speckles Stencil. The edges of 2 of the atcs were deckled and the edges of all the atcs were darkened & distressed with black soot distress ink. Details were added with silver stickes, antique gold perfect pearls, glitter and a white sharpie pen. In the end, the panels were adhered to white atc sized bases (2.5 by 3.5 inches) to give a finished look.

Here are some photos of the 4 ATCs:

Post 373: Mixed Media Card- Yay! (dancers)

Hi friends!

I made a card just for fun because I wanted to play in a couple of challenges and also try out some new stamps. This card is 5 by 7 inches in size. I die cut some rectangles from snippets of watercolor paper and then stamped the dancer on them, then did watercoloring with zig markers and an aqua brush. For the card panel, I stamped the leaves around the edges, then added some colorful splatters with a stencil and distress oxides, then stamped the sentiment and for added interest in the background, also added the scripty background stamp. In the end, distressed the edges of the panel, drew hand drawn borders around all the panels with a sharpie, adhered the die cuts to the panel and created some ink splatter. I wanted this to be a happy, cheerful card which could be used for any happy occasion :)

List of Supplies:

Rubber Dance Stamp- Celestial Dancer #1
Rubber Dance Stamp- leaves from the Crazy Flowers #2
Hero Arts Cling Background Stamp- Thanks
Altenew Celebrate Stamp

Post 371: Season's Greetings Card (cute reindeer)

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a season's greetings card today :) I made this for my Guest Design post at Hndmd. All the details are here. For this card, the focal element is the cute reindeer, I sponged it on using Black Soot distressink, a sponge dauber and CrafTangles Christmas Elements stencil. The sentiment is from the CrafTangles Seasons Greeting Stamp. CrafTangles Moss Green Cardstock was used to create the mat (it looks black in the photos). I used Gina Marie Stitched Rectangle Dies here for all the die cutting. For embellishment, I added a little silver bow and red pearl to the neck of the reindeer.

Post 370: Christmas Card (snowfall scene)

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a card today :) I made this for my Guest Design post at Hndmd. All the details are here. For this card, I wanted to create a night time snowfall scene, so I used the CrafTangles Skyline Stencil which has detachable pieces that can be used as masks. So I used the skyline mask to mask off the black cardstock and sponged on picket fence distress ink onto the rest of the cardstock. Then I added the windows with a white sharpie. And then to create the snowfall, I applied White Gesso through the CrafTangles Speckles Stencil. The sentiment was stamped from the CrafTangles Seasons Greeting Stamp. I added a few silver star sequins to finish the card.

Post 369: Cute Card (Beary good friend)

Hi friends !

I'd like to share a cute card today :) I made this for my Guest Design post at Hndmd. All the details are here. I like that this card can be used for christmas or even for a birthday or any other celebration since the sentiment, "to a beary good friend" is very neutral. For this card, I stamped the adorable bear & sentiment from the CrafTangles Bearing Gifts Stamp onto Canson Watercolor Paper & then did watercoloring with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I’ve matted the card panel with a stitched rectangle die cut (Gina Marie Stitched Rectangle Dies), cut from CrafTangles Rich Red Cardstock which is the perfect color for Christmassy creations.

Post 368: Simple Layered Christmas Card (mandalas)

Hi folks!

I'd like to share a Simple Layered Christmas Card. This was part of my DT work for Bob n Betty. All the details are here. I wanted to use decoupage papers in cardmaking because the mandala designs were so pretty, I thought it would be so cool to use them for non-traditional cards all year round. I used very few supplies for these as I wanted to process to be very simple. I made a set of 4, which I will share one by one. Hope you like them :) These cards are approx 4 by 8 inches in size. I used a die cut phrase for the sentiment (creating a shadow effect by adhering a black die cut a little off centre underneath, to make it more visible) and a few butterflies stamped, heat embossed in white and fussy cut out of vellum as an embellishment.

List of Supplies:

Cutplorations Peace Love Joy Phrase Die
Mudra Stamp- Butterfly Layers
Bob n Betty Decoupage Papers- Imperial Collection
Ranger's Super Fine White Embossing Powder
Ranger's Heat tool
Versamark Watermark Mini pad
White & red cardstock
Tim Holtz Paper Distressor
