Inspirational card

Hi folks!

So today I created a card which I feel sends across a positive message to everyone, especially to women. The message is to aim for the stars, dream big and go after their dreams. In our lives sometimes due to cultural, familial, social or personal reasons we tend to get tied down or perhaps even let go of our dreams, "our calling" if you will, and I feel that it is truly important for us to be able to pursue those dreams whatever they might be. It is paramount for women to utilize their inner strength, wisdom and resilience to circumvent any curve balls life throws at them and come back mighty strong. They need only to believe and keep at it! Here is hoping we fill the world with a little more inspiration, hope and positivity :)

So onto the card. Here are a few pictures of the card.

Process and supplies:

I started by die cutting a piece of white CS with the Gina Marie Designs X stitched rectangles die, after which I stamped the lady in the saree from a CraftyScrappers Stamp set using Archival Jet Black ink. Then I colored the image with zig brush markers and a water brush. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Mudra Humming Birds Stamp set using Archival Jet Black ink. I matted with 3 sheets of pattern paper which were tilted in position for interest. I trimmed off the excess papers. The card base is dark green in color. Then I die cut the vines from the Spellbinders Floral Gazebo die and added them to the card. I felt like the card needed something more, so I chose a silk thread twine and made a bow out of it and attached it to the upper left of the card and I added a few silver sequins to finish it off.

Thanks for your time! Do leave some comments :) it brightens my day to read your encouraging words. Till next time, stay blessed!

  2. What a beautiful card Preety! I love this card, wonderful colouring and a perfect sentiment too. I do like that the shape and style of the dress resembles a sari as well - I lived for several years in the Far East and always think the clothes are so lovely and elegant.

And isn't it fun - I see you already have some more followers and also that a few Snippets Playmates are coming to visit you! :) Happy Dance time!

    Hugs

  7. Hello and welcome to the playground. Thanks for that positive message, we need to encourage each other, I think we are very good at that in the playground. Your angled papers really set off the lady in her gorgeous sari.
