Marbling Card 4

Hi Friends

I love making cards and over the past few days I have been enjoying playing with supplies and making cards :) Also, before I go on let me tell you that I am having a crafty giveaway which is open to anyone (international folks are most welcome) you can find all the details here -- I'd be super thrilled if you play along :) the prize will be a 25 USD gift certificate to any store you like.

Now onto the card, this is an A2 size landscape style top folding card. I wanted to keep the card design simple and let the marbled panel and the die cut sentiment be the star of the show.

I have used the nail polish marbling technique here with light bluish, reddish-pink and white metallic nail polishes and then die cut the marbled paper with the Gina Marie stitched rectangles die. This marbled panel was adhered to a black mat which was further adhered to the blue card base. The sentiment is a die cut from the W & W cutaways. To add interest and some sparkle, star shaped sequins were added to the card, 3 in a cluster on the bottom right and 3 near the sentiment.

Supplies Used:

1. Iris white, blue and black cardstock 250 gsm

2. Winnie & Walter Cutaways- cheers
3. Old Nail Polishes for nail polish marbling
4. Clear Star Shaped Sequins
5. Glossy Accents
6. Gina Marie Designs stitched rectangles die set
7. Tissue Tape

I am playing along with the following challenges:

The Gossip Column with Taheerah Atchia No. - Marble (I have used nail polish marbling here)

Three Challenge with Shay (There are 3 sequins on the bottom right and 3 nail polishes have been used for the marbling)

Christmas Card (Marbling)

Now onto the card, this is a christmas-holiday themed A2 size side folding card.

I have used the nail polish marbling technique and then die cut the marbled paper with the Cheers die by W & W. (I cut off the s to make it a holiday themed sentiment).

The background looks like snow I think, it is basically ink blending done through a stencil (used a light tough to keep the colors soft).

The cute little critter is from the W & W penguin stamplet, I've used only the top part of the penguin, wanted it to look like he is peeking out from the sentiment :) his cap is hand drawn and colored in the colors of christmas- red and green and I like the contrast that offers with the rest of the blue-white card. The critter was colored with the zig markers.

The mat is blue cardstock and this was pasted onto a white card base. The card was finished off with 3 silver sequins.

Supplies Used:

1. Iris white and blue cardstock 250 gsm
2. Winnie & Walter Penguin Stamplet
3. Winnie & Walter Cutaways- Cheers
4. Ranger's Round Blending tool and foams
5. Silver Cup Sequins
6. Glossy Accents
7. Fevicol Glue
8. Gina Marie x stitched rectangles die set
9. Artplorations Retro Circles Stencil
10. Blue and pink nail polishes
11. Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers- pack of 12
12. Tim Holtz Mini Distress Inkpads- peacock feathers and tumbled glass

14. Acrylic Block

CAS Birthday Card 3 (Marbling)

Hi friends!

I have really been enjoying myself over the weekend making CAS cards and so I'd like to share another CAS birthday card I made. This card incorporates nail polish marbling (thanks to Rahmat for sharing the video tutorial) and I really love the pattern it created with the red, blue and gold, in some of the pictures the shine from the gold is visible :)

Synopsis of the process:

This is a top folding landscape style A2 size card. I stamped thrice with geometrical images using the Uniko Background Builders Squared stamp set. Earlier on I had done some nail polish marbling with red, blue and gold colored nail polishes on a blue colored cardstock, so now I die cut it with a Gina Marie Stitched circle die. I colored the outer perimeter of the die cut with a black sharpie to make it stand out against the background. Then I heat embossed the sentiment on the die cut using the Winnie & Walter- A tree for all seasons stamp set. The die cut was pasted on the card front. Some of the squares from  the background were colored with light blue, dark blue and red. Dots and dashes were hand drawn for added interest using a uniball signo white gel pen. In the end, 3 enamel dots were added.

Supplies Used:

1. Iris cardstock 250 gsm
2. Uniko stamps- Background Builders Squared

3. Winnie & Walter Stamps- A tree for all seasons
4. Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens- pack of 12
5. Uniball Signo white gel pen

CAS One Layer birthday card 1

Hi Friends!!

I would like to share a Clean and Simple Style One Layer Birthday Card I made.  I wanted the colorful flowers to stand out and be the focus in the card so I kept the look of the sentiment subdued with black on black heat embossing.

Synopsis of the process:

This is an A2 size landscape top folding card. First I embossed the stitched circle design on the front of the card using a Gina Marie Die and a sizzix silicone rubber pad in a big shot plus. Then I scored 3 horizontal lines using the MS score board. Then I heat embossed some of the flower and leaf images from the Uniko- Originally Organic stamp set (embossed few images, then used masking to emboss the other images within the cirlce), for the heat embossing I used the Zing opaque white embossing powder for the flowers and the Wow Metaline green embossing powder for the leaves. Then I colored the images with Faber Castell Water Color Pencils. To add some details to the card white dots and dashes were drawn using a Uniball Signo White Gel pen. The sentiment reads "birthday wishes" and it is from the Winnie & Walter- A tree for all seasons stamp set. The sentiment was heat embossed with a tone on tone look using Ranger's fine detail black embossing powder. To finish the card, 3 enamel dots were added.

Supplies Used:

1. Iris cardstock 250 gsm
2. Uniko stamp - Originally Organic
