Hi friends!
I made two CAS cards a couple of days back but haven't been able to blog about it till now, so I decided to share them here. I was making one layer CAS cards and I must admit that making a one layer CAS card was difficult because I wanted to add more but I had to convince myself to keep it very minimalistic and simple. This time I used a stencil and created a gradient of color by color blending 3 colors which I thought represented the "opposites" in the sentiment- cloudy and sunshine so I went from yellow to blue to black. The sentiment was heat embossed with black embossing powder to give it some shine and pop.
Here are a few images of the finished card:
Supplies Used:
1. Iris cardstock 250 gsm
2. Tim holtz distress inkpads- squeezed lemonade, peacock feathers and black soot
3. Versamark watermark Inkpad
4. Ranger Fine Black Embossing powder
5. Ranger Round Blending tool and foams
6. Water spray bottle
7. Paint brush
8. Stamplorations Stamp- Fond Expressions 2- Sherry Russ Designs
9. Acrylic block
10. Stencil
11. Ranger heat tool
Thanks for your time! Would love to read your comments :)
Stay Blessed.
I am playing along with the following challenges:
Less is more challenge #315 (the reference to cloudy and sunshine and the corresponding colors for them are the opposites and the card is one layer)
Simon Says Monday Challenge- Use your favourite tool- (I have used the ranger heat tool and blending tool, both of which are my go to favourite tools)
Stamplorations Anything Goes Challenge- (The sentiment is from a stamplorations stamp set)
Another fab card from you! The graduated colours in the stencilling look great, and go brilliantly with the sentiment - perfect for our "opposites" challenge. Thanks so much for playing along with us again at Less is More :)
ReplyDeleteWonderfully clean and simple with that lovely white space. And great options for the opposites theme too.
