Hi friends :)
Thanks a bunch for visiting me here today! I hope you are having a pleasant week so far. The weather in my part of the world is super hot, so one does feel depleted of energy quite a bit! Staying indoors, crafty time and cold drinks/ice-creams are the silver lining for me when it comes to summers :)
Today, I'd like to share a clean and simple card with the mathematical theme of
"venn diagram". I have used the colors of spring- (blue, green and pink) because I just adore these colors :)
"venn diagram". I have used the colors of spring- (blue, green and pink) because I just adore these colors :)
Synopsis of the process:
The rectangular wonky stitched die cut was cut out of water color paper and in order to make the 3 circle venn diagram, I used 2 sizes of the circles in the christmas trees stencil. I traced the circles with a pencil and then colored them with zig markers. Since it is very difficult to prevent the color from moving out of the circle lines, I let it bleed out and with the help of an aqua brush accentuated it to create a colorful wash outside the circles. (I think it turned out to be a happy accident because the color bleeding out gives it an artsy look which seems to be all the rage nowadays :) ). Within the circles I wanted the color to be darker on the circumference and lighter as it went in to create a pastel look so I used an aqua brush to move the color. In the merging areas between the 2 circles, I mixed and "blended" the colors and painted the small areas. So pink + green yielded a brownish hue, pink +blue yielded a purplish hue and green+blue yielded a sea green hue. The central point was left uncolored. The sentiment was stamped from the Stamplorations fond expressions 2 stamp set. Few circles/little bubble accents were stamped using the altenew floral frame stamp. The black strip on the right is created by painting with a black camlin brush marker. In the end the die cut was adhered to the cardbase with Tombow mono multi glue. I cut the card front slightly smaller than the card base to visually create the vertical white line on the extreme right.
