Post 189- CAS card: For you

Hi Friends :)

How are you doing ? The weekend is here and I have a Clean and Simple Card to share with you today. This is a top folding A2 sized card. I used the ink smooshing technique to color the butterfly and the leaves, to control the dispersion of color I used an acrylic block and zig markers to smoosh the colors instead of a piece of acetate. Stamped the leaves and flowers in grey ink and then fussy cut the butterfly and adhered it to the card panel. Also did ink smooshing with the lightest of yellow on the watercolor paper panel. Finished off with some splatters of ink and a few silver sequins.

List of Supplies:

Happy Little Stampers Stamp- Especially for you (butterfly)
Happy Little Stampers Stamp-Doodled Flowers (sentiment)
Winnie & Walter Stamp- In Bloom: Lola's Bouquet with Joni Andaya (leaves & flowers)
Cutplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Die
Ranger's Archival Ink- Shadow Grey and Jet Black
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens
Silver sequins
Tombow Mono Multi Glue
Canson Watercolor Paper
Blue Cardstock 250 gsm

Here is a photograph of the card:

  9. Your card has great "movement" and design with the leaves going up the page. The gray behind your butterfly makes a nice shadow and looks almost 3-D. Keep the cards coming, Preeti! See you on the 18th for the new Calling All Sistahs challenge.
