Hi!!
So here is a birthday card I created. I had to really rack my brains on this one to figure out how to use the Winnie and Walter Renee's Leaves Stamp Set in an apt way. I added hues of purple in the card to support the hop to stop 2016 which is a great initiative to create awareness about domestic violence.
Thanks for your time! Stay Blessed and Happy Crafting.
I am playing along with the following challenges:
1. W & W Rerun No. 15 | Scenery: It's a Wonderful Pennant - Since I did not have the It's a Wonderful Pennant Stamp Set I used the In Bloom Renee's Leaves Stamp Set and did my take on the rerun card made by Vanessa.
2. Cat Lovers Hop 2016
3. I Love Math Challenge #3- Triangles Birthday Card
4. The Hop to Stop 2016
For my creation I was inspired by the birthday card designed by
Vanessa Menhorn for the Rerun 15
Here is her wonderful creation:
Here are a few pictures of my card:
Process and Supplies Used:
(Using the Winnie and Walter Renee's Leaves Stamp to create a colorful pattern for the banner)
(The Triangles Banner was cut out from this colorful stamped paper)
So I was inspired by Vanessa's beautiful card and I decided to use elements of her design like the muted color of the card base, the colorful banner, the bird on the banner so instead of the bird I added a cat. I really liked the banner in her card so I made my own version of the banner. In order to incorporate the Winnie and Walter In Bloom: Renee's Leaves Stamp into the card I first stamped it with various colors of ink onto a scrap piece of white CS and then cut it into triangles of 2 different sizes to make the banner. The Happy Birthday is from the Sizzix Celebration Script Words Die which I colored using the Ranger's Distress Ink- Wilted Violet. I added the glittery kitty sticker (and she's playing with a cotton yarn ball, isn't that cute?) to add the element of fun, joy and playfulness into the birthday card. I decided to keep it simple and clean and go with the CAS style. I have incorporated triangles into the card with the help of the banner. Other supplies used are baker's twine, silicone glue, scissors, Ranger's archival ink (Manganese Blue, Emerald Green, Carnation Red and Chrome Yellow) and Ranger's Distress ink (spiced marmalade).
Thanks for your time! Stay Blessed and Happy Crafting.
