Marbling Card 4

Hi Friends

I love making cards and over the past few days I have been enjoying playing with supplies and making cards :) Also, before I go on let me tell you that I am having a crafty giveaway which is open to anyone (international folks are most welcome) you can find all the details here -- I'd be super thrilled if you play along :) the prize will be a 25 USD gift certificate to any store you like.

Now onto the card, this is an A2 size landscape style top folding card. I wanted to keep the card design simple and let the marbled panel and the die cut sentiment be the star of the show.

I have used the nail polish marbling technique here with light bluish, reddish-pink and white metallic nail polishes and then die cut the marbled paper with the Gina Marie stitched rectangles die. This marbled panel was adhered to a black mat which was further adhered to the blue card base. The sentiment is a die cut from the W & W cutaways. To add interest and some sparkle, star shaped sequins were added to the card, 3 in a cluster on the bottom right and 3 near the sentiment.

Supplies Used:

1. Iris white, blue and black cardstock 250 gsm

2. Winnie & Walter Cutaways- cheers
3. Old Nail Polishes for nail polish marbling
4. Clear Star Shaped Sequins
5. Glossy Accents
6. Gina Marie Designs stitched rectangles die set
7. Tissue Tape

I am playing along with the following challenges:

The Gossip Column with Taheerah Atchia No. - Marble (I have used nail polish marbling here)

Three Challenge with Shay (There are 3 sequins on the bottom right and 3 nail polishes have been used for the marbling)
Sequin Challenge with Kate (star shaped clear sequins have been used to embellish the card)
Bright Colours Challenge with Lydia (bright blue and red have been used here)

Word Art Wednesday Weeks 270-271 - Anything Goes

Here are a couple of pictures of the finished card:

Thanks for your time! Would love to read your comments :)
Stay Blessed.

  1. Hi Preeti, a stunning card, I have seen the nail polish marbling technique on Pintrest on ceramic mugs, but never seen it done on cardstock, something well worth trying out, yours has turned out brilliantly, Have a wonderful week and thank you for the inspiration... Megan

  3. Love the marbling effect you've achieved. I have been unsuccessful using this technique, but I read somewhere that not all nail polishes work well for this technique. I only have a few (I never use nail polish) and maybe they are simply too old. But I have been having lots of fun trying other marbling techniques for Taheerah's challenge.
