Post 198- CAS birthday card

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share a Cute Clean and Simple card today. This is a standard A2 size top folding card. The images and sentiment are heat embossed in white and then I did ink blending using distress oxides on top of that, this was a resist technique since embossed images repel ink. Created some splatter with water on this panel and then dabbed it with a tissue to add interest to the panel with that whitish oxidized look. Added a couple of striped washis to the card base and embellished the card with die cut stars and silver sequins.

Post 134: Happy Birthday Card (Breakfast In Bed)

Hi friends!!

I'd like to share a fun, happy and cute birthday card I created in the morning. The lil scene is that of a breakfast in bed for the birthday boy/girl :) Who doesn't like a fresh cupcake with some hot tea ? 
This is a side folding standard A2 size card.

Synopsis of the Process:

I stamped images from the Lawn Fawn Best Pun Ever and the Lawn Fawn Love n Breakfast stamp sets onto snippets of iris cardstock with Ranger's Archival Jet Black ink. Wanted the images to be bright and cheerful so colored directly with zig markers. Then fussy cut the images. A fancy border was punched into the front of the card base by using a martha stewart chevron fence punch. Some ink blending was done onto the card front to create a soft blue look. Then the fussy cut images were arranged and pasted onto the card front with Tombow glue. (I added the flowers to the kettle to make it look bright and cheery and in keeping with the spring theme) The sentiment is punched out alphabets from the martha stewart alphabet punch, they were adhered in a fun zig zag way. To finish off, a few sparkly sequins were added.

Post 127: CAS Birthday Card

I'm so glad you've taken the time to visit me here. I truly appreciate it :) Today I'd like to share a clean and simple birthday card.

This is a top folding A2 size card. I wanted the focal image to be of a sparkly and shiny birthday cake. 

Synopsis of the Process:

On snippets of black cardstock, the cake, decorations on the cake, the candle and the sentiment were stamped (from the Hero Arts Birthday set) with versamark ink and then heat embossed in gold. Then the images were die cut with coordinating dies. A banner was created out of a snippet of purple cardstock which was layered under the black sentiment banner to accent it. Some ink blending was done in the center of the cardbase and then the die cut stamped images were adhered with tombow glue. To finish off the card, 3 gold sequins were added.
