Post 379: Simple Seasons Greetings Card 2

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a Season's Greetings Card I made a few days back. This was part of my Guest Design Post for Hndmd, all the details are here. For this card, CrafTangles Ruby Red Cardstock was used to die cut the main card panel. The sentiment is from the CrafTangles Seasons Greeting Stamp. I used a glittery foam dove as the focal element and the wreath is a die cut, I used the vibrant CrafTangles Sap Green Cardstock to die cut the wreath & then embellished it with silver sequins.

Here are a couple of photos of the card:

Post 370: Christmas Card (snowfall scene)

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a card today :) I made this for my Guest Design post at Hndmd. All the details are here. For this card, I wanted to create a night time snowfall scene, so I used the CrafTangles Skyline Stencil which has detachable pieces that can be used as masks. So I used the skyline mask to mask off the black cardstock and sponged on picket fence distress ink onto the rest of the cardstock. Then I added the windows with a white sharpie. And then to create the snowfall, I applied White Gesso through the CrafTangles Speckles Stencil. The sentiment was stamped from the CrafTangles Seasons Greeting Stamp. I added a few silver star sequins to finish the card.

Post 361: Mixed Media ATCs- Positive Words

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a set of 10 Mixed Media ATCs or Artist Trading Cards I made as part of my DT work for Peekaboo Designs, all the details can be found here. ATCs or Artist Trading Cards are 3.5 by 2.5 inches in size and are essentially little pieces of art which are usually made as a set, around a particular theme. These are exchanged between artists and crafters all over the world. They are signed on the back with the artist's name and date. I wanted the theme to these be positive words.

Process & Supplies Used:

1. Created the background on a 12 by 12 white cardstock by spraying Lindy's Gang sprays- pink, purple and green hues through 2 stencils- PABD Abstract Triangle & Dimensional.
2. Stamped the images from the PABD Madhubani stamp with Jet Black Archival Ink onto the cardstock.
3. Added a few strips of washi tape to the background-PABD Lovey Dovey, Classy Glassy, Bottled Love & Golden Days
4. Stamped and heat embossed (in white) the floral images from the Madhubani Stamp set onto black cardstock and fussy cut the images.
5. Cut the prepared cardstock into ATC sized pieces (slightly smaller)
6. With the left over piece of cardstock as well as black, grey & white cardstock prepared elements for layering. Cut a few strips as well as did die cutting using the following PABD dies- Ampersand Trilogy Dies, Chloe, Dome Tower, Dual leaf, Dual Stitched Hexagon, Scalloped Rectangle & Cherish
7. Heat Embossed (in white) sentiments from the PABD Bold You Stamp & Ampersand Stamp onto black strips of cardstock.
8. Distressed the edges of the ATCs and adhered them to black mats.
9. Assembled the ATCs by layering & adhering the die cuts, gauze, fussy cut elements & embossed sentiments.
10. Embellished the ATCs with silver stickles & silver sequins
11. Created ink splatter (white, pink & black) at the end.

Here is a photo of all the ATCs:

Post 341: CAS Christmas Card

Hi friends !

I'd like to share a Clean and Simple Christmas Card. This was part of my DT work for PABD, all the details can be checked out here. I heat embossed the Poinsettia and sentiment in gold and watercolored the flower with Festive Berries Distress Ink refill. I wanted a deep red color and whenever I use my zig markers, the red somehow looks pinkish so in order to attain a deep, rich red I used the distress ink refill and it worked beautifully. Then added a bit of washi tape at the bottom to balance the design, a few sequins for sparkle and a few dots of red stickles on the chocolate brown die cut. They aren't visible in the photo but they add a bit of shine to the crosses all around the dome die cut. Also, I foam mounted the dome die cut and the flower :) I kept the color scheme quite festive with cream, chocolate brown, red and gold and I must say I love that color combo and will be using it again!

List of Supplies:

PABD stamp- Poinsettia
PABD die- Dome Tower Dies
Ranger's Fine Embossing Powder- Gold
Versamark Watermark Mini Inkpad
Homemade Emboss Buddy
Gold and red sequins
Festive Berries Distress Ink Refill
Cream and Chocolate Brown Cardstock
Tombow Mono Multi Glue
Red Stickles
Washi tape
3d Foam Tape
