CAS card: Celebrate your day

Hi Folks!

Winnie and Walter is having a 3rd birthday bash and I wanted to take part in the joy by wishing them a very happy birthday and also get inky!

Another challenge I am playing along with is celebrating their 6th birthday!! Less is more!! So here is wishing the folks over at Less is more a big happy birthday :)

To celebrate these events I have made a CAS card today. I have also tried some supplies and techniques new to me. I guess its apt that the sentiment for the card is "celebrate your day" because it is definitely a time for celebration for the above mentioned blogs :) For the card, I stamped some of leaves from the Winnie & Walter- In Bloom: Renee's Leaves stamp around the panel to create a pattern I liked and then heat embossed it with lemon yellow embossing powder by ranger. After that I colored the leaves with 3 colors from zig clean color real brush pens (yellow, light green and dark green), these 3 colors are adjacent on the color wheel. I used the Sakura Koi Medium water brush as well. The sentiment is from the Winnie & Walter- A tree for all seasons stamp set with Ranger's archival jet black ink. Few black splatters were created with a black marker and 3 enamel dots of coordinating colors were added. The panel is Bielo 300 gsm cardstock which is new to me and it works well, this was pasted onto a side folding A2 size black cardbase.

Here are a few pictures of the card:-

Thanks for your time! Would love to read your comments :)
Stay Blessed.

I am playing along with the following challenges:

1. W & W 3rd birthday bash- Three Challenge with Shay ( 3 colors used to color the leaves, 3 enamel dots used and 3 words in the sentiment)

3. W & W 3rd birthday bash- Mood Board Challenge with Heather P. (Was inspired by the yellows, greens and leafy parts of the spring time moodboard)

4. W & W 3rd birthday bash- Bright Colours Challenge with Lydia (the neon shades of lemon green and yellow are the bright colors on the card)

5. Less Is More- Colour Challenge ( I have used 3 adjacent colors from the color wheel- yellow, light green and dark green)
