Pink CAS card- Hi

Hi friends :)

I've created a CAS card here with the focal image centering on alphabets and this just happens to be a paper snippet! Yesterday I was cleaning/organizing my paper scraps which I mostly store in a big cardboard box and they were getting unmanageable, so I decided to segregate them, while doing so I found the left over- negatives of papers from which I had punched out alphabets using the martha stewart punch. I thought I would use them in a card and I'm happy that I found a way to do just that (albeit after much thought).

This is a side folding 5 by 7 card. I did stenciling on the card base and hand painted some tiny leaves and pink berries/flowers to give it a pop of color and make the bamboo tree look whimsical :) I stamped around the punch cut out with the stamplorations scripty flowers stamps and colored them. I wanted the words in the flower stamps to be visible but not over power the black alphabets negative, therefore, I colored them. In the end I colored the H and I from the punch cut out to make my sentiment of "hi" and added some glossy accents to the hi to make it stand out.
Supplies Used:

1. Stamplorations Clear Stamp - Big Bloom Factory by Shery Russ Designs
2. Bamboo stencil from little birdie
3. Negative of punch cut out from Martha Stewart Alphabet Punch (Snippet)
4. Iris cardstock 250 gsm
5. Tim holtz distress inkpads- brushed corduroy, cracked pistachio and twisted citron
6. Ranger Round Blending tool and foams
7. Water brush
8. Zig clean color brush markers (pink out of the pack of 12)
9. Post It notes for masking
10. Tombow multi glue
11. Glossy Accents

Here are a few pictures of the finished card:

Thanks for your time! Would love to read your comments :)
Stay Blessed.

I am playing along with the following challenges:

1. Less is more challenge #316 (I have used the negative of the martha stewart alphabets punch cut out and scripty flower stamps from stamplorations which have words already in them therefore emphasizing alphabets)

3. Addicted to CAS challenge #105- wood (The bamboo tree represents the "wood" part of the cas card)

4.  Time Out Challenge #77 (I was inspired by the flowers, the color pink and the trees from the graphic and have included all these elements in this cas card)

5. Simon Says Monday Challenge- Use your favourite tool (I have used the ranger round blending tool and foams for stenciling and it is one of my favourite tools)

  1. This card is beautifully tranquil, lifted by the pop of colour in the flower and the letters, yet still very elegant and soft. You do a great job of incorporating different techniques and I always look forward to what your next card will be! Thanks for playing along with us again at Less is More :)
