So the big event is finally here and I'm late to the party :( I was sooo looking forward to the spring coffee lovers hop, having bought new tea/coffee stamps and all ready to get inky but then I've been feeling exhausted since Friday, so basically slept through most of the weekend in addition to completing pending work and sneaking in 1 card making session today. But I'm happy to finally get the ball rolling and here I'd like to share my first clean and simple coffee card for this wonderful hop. Please do check it out! There are loads of prizes to be won, hundreds of entries to be inspired from and tons of cool sponsors. All the details are HERE.
Synopsis of the Process:
The process of making this is pretty straight forward. This is a side folding standard A2 size birthday card. I used 250 gsm kraft cardstock to create the card base. The fancy border on the front of the card was created with a Martha Stewart Border punch. Then, I stamped the coffee mug and sentiment from the Stamplorations- Latte Love stamp set in Ranger's archival jet black ink. Added 3 hand drawn flowers with a fine point sharpie. Then lightly colored and did some shading with Derwent colored pencils. To add some interest, the small solid heart stamp was stamped from the Lawn Fawn- Best Pun Ever Stamp set in Hero Arts Unicorn pigment ink and outlined with Uniball Signo white gel pen.
