Post 132: CAS Coffee Card 1

Hi friends!!

Spring Hop 2017

So the big event is finally here and I'm late to the party :( I was sooo looking forward to the spring coffee lovers hop, having bought new tea/coffee stamps and all ready to get inky but then I've been feeling exhausted since Friday, so basically slept through most of the weekend in addition to completing pending work and sneaking in 1 card making session today. But I'm happy to finally get the ball rolling and here I'd like to share my first clean and simple coffee card for this wonderful hop. Please do check it out! There are loads of prizes to be won, hundreds of entries to be inspired from and tons of cool sponsors. All the details are HERE

Synopsis of the Process:

The process of making this is pretty straight forward. This is a side folding standard A2 size birthday card. I used 250 gsm kraft cardstock to create the card base. The fancy border on the front of the card was created with a Martha Stewart Border punch. Then, I stamped the coffee mug and sentiment from the Stamplorations- Latte Love stamp set in Ranger's archival jet black ink. Added 3 hand drawn flowers with a fine point sharpie. Then lightly colored and did some shading with Derwent colored pencils. To add some interest, the small solid heart stamp was stamped from the Lawn Fawn- Best Pun Ever Stamp set in Hero Arts Unicorn pigment ink and outlined with Uniball Signo white gel pen

Supplies Used:

1. Kraft cardstock 250 gsm
2. Stamplorations Stamp- Latte Love
3. Lawn Fawn Stamp- Best Pun Ever
4. Ranger's Archival Jet Black Inkpad
5. Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Inkpad
6. Derwent Colored Pencils
7. Uniball Signo White Gel Pen
8. Fine Point Sharpie Marker
9. Martha Stewart punch

Here are a couple of pictures of the card:

I am playing along with the following challenges:

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #400 (Was inspired by the CIC #319- Coffee & Cupcakes and have included a coffee glass along with a coffee reference "latte" in the birthday sentiment

PS: I'm also excited to share that I am having a small crafty giveaway which is open to anyone worldwide (international folks are most welcome). All the details can be found here -- I'd be super thrilled and honored if you play along :) the prize is a 25 USD gift certificate to any store you like. Post 124: Floral Birthday Card

Hi!!

I'm so glad you've taken the time to visit me here. I truly appreciate it :)

Today I'd like to share a floral birthday card in celebration of springThis is a side folding A2 size card with a fancy border edge. Hues of 3 colors (besides the neutrals) have been used here: greens, blues and yellows.

Synopsis of the Process:

The Mudra mini bunch stamp and butterfly stamp was stamped in versamark watermark ink onto snippets of vellum and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. The images were colored with zig and camlin brush pens and then fussy cut. The card base was prepared by punching the doily lace pattern on the front of it using a martha stewart edge punch. The sentiment was stamped from the mudra brushed stamp set using archival ink and then the vellum flowers were arranged and then adhered onto the card front with mono liquid glue. 3 mint green colored sequins were adhered, the butterfly was also pasted near the sentiment to balance out the design and in the end some black paint splatters were made.
