Hi friends :)
I'd like to share the second mixed media tag I made. The color scheme here is black, white and yellow. The sentiment reads "If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies".
Synopsis of the process:
- On the die cut tag added some color with distress inks then did some stamping with archival ink.
- Then to create some texture added some gesso through a clock stencil

I'd like to share the second mixed media tag I made. The color scheme here is black, white and yellow. The sentiment reads "If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies".
Synopsis of the process:
- On the die cut tag added some color with distress inks then did some stamping with archival ink.
- Then to create some texture added some gesso through a clock stencil
- Colored the cherry blossoms with a yellow camlin brush marker
- Used sprays to add color and create drips
-Created some depth in the clocks with a black zig marker and an aqua brush
- On a snippet of cardstock stamped the butterfly in distress ink and archival ink, fussy cut it and adhered the 2 layers together to make a 3d butterfly, added stitching details to it using a black sharpie and adhered it to the tag
- Darkened the edges of the tag with distress ink
- Adhered this tag to another tag to give additional strength and also attached it slightly off center for interest, distressed the white edges of the tag at the back so the deckled edges can be seen from the front.
- In the end, tied some twine and organza ribbon to the tag
