Post 244: Birthday Card- Embossed Roses

Hi friends !

I'd like to share a birthday card today. I made this as part of a Guest Design Post on fb, all the details can be found hereI kept the design clean and simple :) This is an A2 sized top folding card. I did heat embossing through a rose design stencil with sparkly red embossing powder. Then simply stamped the sentiment and added a twine

List of Supplies:

Winnie & Walter Stamp- The Big, the bold & the happy
Icraft Stencil
Ranger's Embossing Powder- Red Tinsel
Versafine Onyx Black Mini Inkpad
Cream and Black cardstock 270 gsm
Twine
Homemade Emboss Buddy
Versamark Watermark Mini Inkpad
Tombow Mono Multi Glue
Lawn Fawn Die- Small Dot Rectangles

Here is a photo of the card:

I am playing along with the following challenges:

Winnie & Walter Rerun No. 22 (I was inspired by Kelly's pretty card so I made a birthday card using warm colors)

Thanks for your time :)
Love reading your sweet comments.
Stay Blessed.

  1. Beautiful card, Preeti. The embossed rose design is so striking. I'm interested in the how you heat embossed through a stencil ... I would have thought that there was a danger of damaging the stencil with the heat. Elizabeth x

    1. Thanks a lot Elizabeth :) I'm glad you liked it. I have a blog post on ideas and tips to use stencils with all the info. If you'd like to check it out, it is here- http://chatterwithpreeti.blogspot.in/2017/08/post-238-guest-designing-for-icraft.html So we basically used a blending tool and foam to dab versamark ink through the stencil onto the cardstock and then heat emboss. The stencil does not come in contact with heat. Hope it helps. Thanks for visiting my blog xx hugs xx
